The game's greatest players compete at TPC Sawgrass THE PLAYERS Stadium Course in Ponte Vedra Beach. THE PLAYERS Championship is recognized by PGA TOUR members as their championship tournament. And don't feel like you have to stay in Ponte Vedra to see the action--lovely St. Augustine is just 15 minutes away. In fact, I've heard that there are still some very nice rooms at the Bayfront Marin House.
